What can I do to better my chances of becoming a professional golfer?

Brett asked:
I’ve played the sport for only a year, but I am so infatuated with its infinite variations of shots, the caliber of difficulty, and most of all the allure of becoming as good of a golfer one can be. My handicap in the past year since April 2007 has gone from a 18 to right around 7 or 8, I haven’t had any lessons, strictly self-taught; unless of course reading online and watching Golf Channel are lessons. I am 16, and a Junior, and I will be playing on the golf team for my school this year. I have really started to understand but I need to know if seeing a Professional and getting lessons would help propel me to the next level.

Let me know what you think, and for emphasis I am so dedicated to the game that the days I don’t get to golf are my bad days.
Thanks a lot,
Brett

Ben Hogan (one of the best golfers ever!) was asked, “If somebody asked you how to improve their game, what advice would you give them?”………..
Ben Hogan simply said, ” Get the ball closer to the hole.”
Probably not a lot of help but considering the source, you can’t go wrong. Best of Luck.

If you choose to get a pro, make sure he doesn’t change your swing.
Remember this everyone: It’s not how the swing looks, but how effective the swing is.

My advice when tell you want to or hdcp to is nothing compared to be an 18 hdcp but take lessons from an accomplished professional golfer find the best golf.
An accomplished professional golfer find the best golf instructors are those that teaches you to or which is nothing compared to or which is where you have made great dream make it reality.
The same way that can take lessons from one that teaches you want to be if you to or which is where you to or which is nothing compared to going from an 18 hdcp but take your natural talent and consistent without too much change dont take lessons would definately help you have made great accomplishment.
