Is it safe to say on avg the difference in distance is about 5 yards for each degree of loft in a golf club?

Why would you agree only if we are talking about irons? why would the distance be different than 5 yards for say a 19 degree 5 wood versus an 18 degree hybrid?

    Yes, or pretty close to that. Edit we are talking irons. Edit ….because drivers can have lofts of 10 degrees, so it wouldn’t make sense including them.
