Where can I find an oversized golf ball that is used for putting practice that measures about 3 in diameter?

Jim E asked:

I recently saw it on the golf channel. The idea behind the ball was that if you putted with this ball for a few minutes than you switched back to a regular size ball, the ball would look like a marble rolling into the cup!

What is the sign your scorecard rule in pro golf all about?

Scoops Mahone asked:

I was reading an article about the amateur female golfer who was disqualified from the tournament because she left the roped scoring area without signing the scorecard, even though she quickly returned and signed it. I’m wondering what the actual rule is, and what is it for? What was the big deal, she returned and signed it? If you can shed some light on this for me I’d appreciate it.

I was wondering if a set of 4 mint condition Winnie the Pooh and friends golf balls from Disney World That were bought in 2001 have any kind of value. They come in a little Winnie the Pooh box, and have never been taken out. Each ball has one character on it involved one way or another in golf. Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore.

What are your opinions on Mr. Trump’s plan to build the world’s finest golf course in Aberdeenshire? Do you feel that the potential economic boost and increase in tourism in the area outweighs the destruction of the rare sand dunes and wildlife living there? Do you feel the development should go ahead or not, and why?

italiandudeinchicago asked:

I had some questions about Golf Long Drive Contests. Are there organizations who run these? If so what’s their website to get info? Are there amatur and pro tournaments? How much does it generally cost to enter? Are there any restrictions on what type of club must be used? In an amatuer setting what is a typical drive that will win the contest?

What do you feminists think about August National Golf Club?

Posted on timeOctober 23rd, 2008 by userThe Golfer    flag(7) Comments

Raj G asked:

August National Golf Club is a higly prestigious private club with a very limited number of members…All of whom are men. In 2003, a feminist organization, with national support from feminists, launched a campaign to pressure the club into allowing female club members and the club refused, despite the enormous amount of financial pressure. Since the majority of feminists in YA seem to think that it is acceptable to provide preference for entrance to clubs to certain individuals based on their sex, what is your opinion of the Augusta incident? Are you consistent in your beliefs and do you believe that their sex-based qualifications are acceptable? Or do you believe that national feminist organizations erred in their efforts?

smoofus70: That’s very nice that you have generalized your personal opinion onto others, but if you click on any of the questions pertinent to ladies-night, you’ll find consistent excuses for permitting that brand of sexism. If, however, you believe that ladies-night is sexist, then you’re excused from hypocrisy regarding this question.
smoofus70: By my count, 75% supported the sexist practice. But I notice that you only include regulars, which allows you to filter out those that don’t meet your demands (i.e. bias).
smoofus70: Here is a complete list (of regulars) based on Mike T’s direct question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ain4a7gcpVJnCxXd1pRfUxQYxgt.;_ylv=3?qid=20071217092946AAdU6xf):

Only Rio Madeira spoke out against it (she seems to be rather consistent in her thinking). Even though you say you opposed it in another question, in that question you dismissed it as unimportant, saying Yes, it is sexist, but you should talk to the men who promote it. It’s not a feminist thing. In other words, while you believe it’s sexist, you don’t believe it’s something that needs to be addressed by feminists who supposedly believe in equality. That’s actually 88% of regular feminists who are in support of sexist club admissions as long as they favor women.
